This film is so funny, did not stop laughing from start to finish. Val Kilmer first film and did great and even sang in it. Val is a famous singer and is asked to go behind the iron curtain as it was known then to perform, but gets caught up in a spy top secret which includes a kidnapped scientist.

Top Secret! marks Kilmer 's feature film debut, and he clearly enjoys himself in the role of Nick Rivers, showing top-notch comic timing and playing the material totally deadpan. Additionally, Kilmer demonstrates his surprisingly great singing voice here, performing all of his own songs which were subsequently released on the film's soundtrack album.
